These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Throwback mobile application ("App"), website at throwback.now ("Site"), and related services (collectively, "Services"), operated by App Star Family ("Company," "we," "our," or "us").
By accessing or using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
Throwback is an AI-powered photo transformation application that applies decade-specific aesthetic filters and effects to your photos. Features include:
Some features are available free of charge. Premium features require a paid subscription. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
You may create an account using your email address or through third-party authentication (Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Throwback offers a free tier with limited functionality and a premium subscription with full access to all features. Subscription pricing is available within the App.
Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to premium features until then. Refunds are governed by Apple's refund policy.
We may change subscription prices. Price changes take effect at your next renewal date. We will notify you of price changes in advance.
You retain all ownership rights to photos and content you submit to Throwback ("User Content"). By submitting photos for transformation, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your photos for the sole purpose of delivering the transformation service to you.
You agree not to submit photos or content that:
If you submit photos that include other people, you represent that you have the right to do so and that those individuals have consented to the processing of their image by our AI service. Do not use Throwback to process photos of people without their knowledge or consent.
Transformed images created by Throwback's AI are derivative works. You own the resulting images, subject to your compliance with these Terms. You may not claim that AI-generated transformations are unaltered original photographs.
You agree not to use the Services to:
The Throwback app, its AI models, Era Pack styles, interface design, trademarks, and all other content we create are our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property beyond the limited license to use the App.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
