How does the free AI portrait work?

An eligible private browser session or existing web account gets one successful AI Time Portrait free. No email is required to make that first portrait. Failed or canceled attempts do not use it, and connecting an email or starting Premium never resets it.

How does the 3-day trial work?

Stripe asks for a payment method, but there is no subscription charge when the three-day yearly trial starts. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges $49.99 for the next year. Premium starts only after Stripe confirms the subscription.

Can I cancel before I am charged?

Yes. Open your Throwback account and choose Manage web subscription. Stripe’s billing portal lets you cancel before the trial ends or manage a paid subscription.

What happens to my photos?

Photo Lab, Rolls, Cards, and Year Vault process your selected photos on your device. AI Time Portrait sends only the photo you choose, after your consent, for private server-side generation. Recent AI results are stored privately for 30 days.

What does the Premium allowance include?

Web Premium includes up to 60 successful non-free AI portraits in any rolling 30-day period. Failed and canceled generations do not count. Local camera looks, Rolls, Cards, and Year Vault do not use the AI allowance.

Does Web Premium include the iPhone app?

No. Throwback Web Premium is billed by Stripe for throwback.now. iPhone and App Store subscriptions remain separate.
