Year Vault starts with the photos you choose. Bring in a collection from your device and browse it by year, using the original capture date when the file still contains one. If that date is missing, the studio clearly labels the file-date fallback. Choose a rediscovered photograph to open in the studio, give it a camera look or turn it into a card. Your selected collection stays in the browser session; there is no automatic camera-roll scan or cloud photo-library connection.

- Browse groups based on available capture dates. File-date fallbacks are identified so they are never mistaken for a confirmed memory date.

- Open a rediscovered photo in the editor, then try a camera look or build a Retro Card.

- Photos and thumbnails stay in the browser while you browse. Importing a collection does not start an AI generation.

Can Year Vault see all my photos?
No. The browser can only read files you explicitly select. It cannot browse your entire camera roll, iCloud Photos or another cloud library automatically.
Why might a photo have the wrong year?
Edited, exported or downloaded files may no longer contain their original capture date. Year Vault labels a file-modified date when it uses that fallback. A file date can reflect when the file was copied or saved, rather than when the photo was taken.
Is my collection saved to my account?
No. This collection is temporary and stays in the current browser session. Closing or refreshing the page clears it; your original files remain on your device.
